Easements are rights over other people’s land such as, most commonly, a right of way by foot or with vehicle or access rights for maintenance, rights of drainage, electricity and other service media passing under or over other land. Often a deed of easement will be necessary to manage such rights ensuring appropriate rights are granted and reserved for both parties including registering the same at HM Land Registry.
